HP9 forend screw problem. Help!

Hey guys,
I changed the forend on my HP9 to a Hogue and I cant for the life of me screw baxk the "nut" all the way to the end. Anyone had this problem? Any ideas? Thanks.

foreend removal tool is good to have.

but... if you are in a bind, needle nose pliers work very well.
