Rossi Ranch Hand .44

It is the short stock that is at fault here, once a full stock is installed this rifle dont drive tacks but sure is a 3 to 4 inch groups @ 100 metres, the regular buck horn sight are more than adequate, took a buck @ Anticosti, fell like a ton of bricks at 85 metres... JP.

I went full hog on my Ranch Hand to make it look like a
rare Model 92 Winchester Baby carbine. The wee bugger
shoots great with the Marble's sights I installed and
is a great little rifle for huntin' the thick bush.

To get the most out of the Ranch Hand, a proper length
butt stock and quality sights are a must, along with a
good action tuning. ;)

When you go full stock, try the original sight, they are fine for 4 inch group at 100 metres off hand, just make sure you adjust the rear buckhorn to give the 6 o'clock fix... JP.

They shoot a foot high at 25 yards out of the box. At under $600, you need to spend $50 on sights if you want to shoot it as a mare's leg. For under $700 you got a fun little toy. Chiappa is more expensive. It is definitely a conversation piece. I love mine. I have a little stock extension that screws in, because I like the portability for packing. I will end up getting a boyd stock for it too though. Most people end up doing this. I also use a bungee sling to fire it as a mare's leg. It works OK, but feels strange. With practice it would be fine. Plus practicing is always fun.

If I wanted something with a full butt stock on it that is what I would buy.

I'll leave the stock alone but wanted some advice on the sights.

I have been having trouble locating one in .44 mag. Does anyone have one in .45 colt? I did find Hornady Lever Evolution ammunition for both .44 mag and 45 colt.

That could be a useful little rig in a lot of situations. Especially with the standard lever.
