Sweaty hands and a Glock

I LOVE my Glock 17, and I'm a fairly new shooter at pistols, but my hands (naturally) get sweater than a fat kid in gym class! The moisture on the polymer frame makes it difficult to maintain a good firm consistent grip.

I'm sure some of you have this problem with your beloved polymer pistols, so what do you do? I don't want to wear gloves, and I don't want to permanently stipple/burn/carve grips into my frame. I use grip tape, but it's working so-so. Will those Hogue rubber universal sleeves help?

I use a product called AGrip from ht tp://www.brookstactical.com/Pages/preferred.htm. If kind of feels like a black velvet painting. It gets grippier the more you sweat.

Least expensive option would be Hogue or Pachmayr slip on grips. If you don't like them just pull them off.

+1, a big strip of skateboard tape is about $10 and you'll be able to cut many grips from it. If there's no skateboard shop in your area most hardware stores have stair traction tape which is basically the same thing. I tried the slip on grips and I found they moved around on me after time - the tape stays put and can be easily replaced.

I have applied 'Decal-Grip' on all my Glocks (and I own 7 ).

Basically skateboard tape but pre-cut to fit the pistol.

As for sweaty hands. What's wrong with drying your hands between strings? Extended time with any pistol will yield sweaty hands and guns. Take a break, dry your hands (and gun) and shoot some more. Rather than modifying the gun, I would suggest some climbers chalk. I've tried the slip ons, the Get a grip by brooks tactical, skate tape, rubber sticky pads etc etc. Some were alright but none of them really offered a huge advantage without bringing its own disadvantages. I now run my guns bare, with the exception of some skate tape on the rear of the slide.

I use a pachmayr slip-on for my gen3 G17.
It's nice and grippy, smooths out the finger groves(which I'm not a fan of), doesn't add too much girth and cost about $15.
It fits snug and is holding up so far.

IN my experience, the corners stay down just fine. The tread wears out and needs replacing before the corners begin to lift.
