US Army bans PMAGS

LOL Someone has to be the grownup. :p

Please - you're showing your ass. There is more danger from gravel/organic matter on the ground (hard medium) than there is from some PB&J/rice (soft medium). It is the totally risk-averse nannys like you that have removed any semblance of reality from training.

We have eyepro for a reason...

Actually, lost of limbs was not an issues in Bosnia / Croatia... A few cases, but limited

PTSD / OSI... That is another story
Some of the reasons, ROEs and equipment.... All realted to being a garrison army

A medic friend of mine did a 7 month tour in Aviano, Italy. During his short visit he treated 12 Canadians who were hit by mines. One guy lost his right arm and right leg; his wife left him before he left the hospital. She couldn't cope.

Not once did the press cover the carnage. Not once did the CF chain of command mention it. The liberal party of Canada are the biggest douches of all time. They starve the military, show them nothing but disdain (Chretien never once stepped into 101 Colonel By; not once) and YET they have no problems sending them into harms way. The CF was very active during the 90s. In fact we were dropping bombs in Kosovo with our 18s, first time we'd done air to ground combat since Korea. God damn hypocrites.

:jerkit:

If I was in charge of the CF, the training would be a hell of a lot more intense and frequent.

I remember I had a Warant Officer Northrop, in Cornwalis, who was a pretty cool guy but he would tear your head off major if you didn't follow his instruction to a "T"! We also had another one who sounded like Aylmer Fud. Lol!

Lol. Captains are a dime a dozen. My WO in BOTC was one mean SOB but taught us well. My mom broke her arm yesterday, little busy so please carry on with your officer bashing. My fav: "Don't call me Sir my parents were married!!!"
