I was showing this to someone over in hunting and sporting and figured the rimfire guys would probably be interested in seeing it. This is my model 60 in a boyds rimfire hunter stock, forest camo laminate. It wasn't quite a drop-in install, I had to cut the channel near the end of the stock for the tube mag. But the stock is actually a hair too long and covered part of the loading gate so I notched the end to clear. Inletting the end of the stock didn't take any more than 5 minutes with a dremel. The sling studs had to be removed and the threaded portion ground down because they hit the tube mag as well. I glued them back in also, there wasn't alot of thread grabbing wood and they were pretty loose. Anyhow, on to the pics!

I loved my marlin 60, It was my first semi, sold it to get a papoose and realized I liked the tube over the mags, you can get pretty fast at loading it.
It was not fun changing the buffer out of it though.

Main reason I went with it was because I hate clips (detatchable magazines, whatever you want to call them) Ya get sore fingers loading them, then you have to carry around a pocket full of shells, a pocket full of loaded clips, and a pocket of empties when you're out smacking gophers. With the tube all you need is the pocket of shells! I've actually managed to purge my entire gun collection of clips now!
