Is the new M305 flashhider welded?

Order a short M305 and still waiting for the package.
I heard someone said that flashed hider is welded.
Can I remove it as I want to install a Troy MCS, so I move remove
it first.

I've has a "JB Weld" type stuff on one of me before. I saw Jb as I'm not sure if it is but sure acts like it.

The factory could not understand why we did not want them welded. It took some explaining about civilian market demands.

(Welding would involve actually melting the base metal of the barrel)

Mine was not welded on either. I think its a hit and miss

Have one that was welded on, took it off the other night. What a ##### drilled out where i thought the welds where but was wrong on one. Hammered away until I got fed up and went to bed. Got up at 3am and decided its coming off so out comes the 5 lb dead blow hammer and the largest punch I had to severly beat it into submision. Just hope I didnt damage the barrel. Sure looks better with the usgi flash hider.
