Once again, your photography skills impress me. Good quality photography is not an easy thing.

If you have a nice Lee Enfield No.4, I would love to see what you could do.

id64, I'm expecting the imminent arrival of the NR version of the vz58 in 7.62x39, so, if you don't mind, I have a few questions about your CSA VZ58.

What is the mount and scope you are using?

Does an imaginary line drawn plumb through a point at the center of the scope's image intersect an imaginary line going through the barrel at the center of the bore's diameter? (Put another way, is the scope centered over the barrel?)

With the scope installed, can you still use the iron sights?

The mount looks like a quick-connect version. If you remove the mount+scope and then re-install them, do you have to "sight in" the scope again?

Do ejected shells hit the scope?

Thanks for the information.

I will answer all questions tomorrow after range time with it.

Cheers

Oh man I wish I could take shots like that, alas so much time and equipment to invest...damn you id64, you're pulling me dangerously close to yet another expensive and addictive hobby! This is nothing short of gratuitous gear ####ography :D

I saw the other picture you posted in the Black Rifle section. Is that a 14" barrel topped off with a surefire muzzle brake? I really love the look of it.

Ok, came back from the range. Here are the answers:

What is the mount and scope you are using?

Mount came pre-installed with the CSA carbine.

Does an imaginary line drawn plumb through a point at the center of the scope's image intersect an imaginary line going through the barrel at the center of the bore's diameter? (Put another way, is the scope centered over the barrel?)

Scope is perfectly centred

With the scope installed, can you still use the iron sights?

Yes

The mount looks like a quick-connect version. If you remove the mount+scope and then re-install them, do you have to "sight in" the scope again?

Hold zero just fine

Do ejected shells hit the scope?

Nope
