Boyds Gunstock order

Boyds is great, but if your gonna put one on a Stevens 200 I'd pay the extra bucks and get a Savage with an accutrigger. I've been bouncing the idea of selling my Savage with the Boyds Thumbhole laminate but it's hard cause I took the biggest deer of my life with it. I just can't get used to that trigger pull and I imagine the Stevens 200's aren't much better. Ordered a Savage 14 American Classic in 250 Savage and if the Boyds stock fit I'd put it on that one!

Here's my 110 7mm-08 and my 17 HMR Savages with Boyds stocks.

Here's something I was thinking today. Has anyone put a Boyds stock on an Accustock model Savage? I wonder if there is much modifying needed to do so.

I just can't get used to that trigger pull and I imagine the Stevens 200's aren't much better.

Why don't you get rid of the Savage trigger and replace it with a Rifle Basix Sav-1 trigger? They are a vast improvement and easy to install.

I've got a few stocks from Boyd's and they're great for the price, but shipping ain't the cheapest.
IE: H&R Handi Rifle Laminate Thumbhole Buttstock-$64.oo, Shipping-$40.oo!

Oh well, they make purdy stuff!

$ 75.00 for the stock $43.00 for shipping = $118.00 at your door step.

I put the Boyds Sky Laminate FW Thumbhole on my 243 Stevens 200 for the wife. First thing I did was put a Rifle Basix trigger on it..I got the tactical bolt handle, metal trigger guard and blue fishnet fluted bolt body to match. I also put 13 coats of Tru-Oil on the stock. shortened it about 3/4 of an inch for her.... Quite a looker....performs well too! I took a nice 9pt Whitetail last fall with it. Here's a couple of pics of before and after the bolt swap out.

$43.90 to Windsor Ontario. Not cheap but it was worth every penny to me.

I just got mine yesterday. $43 shipping and $22 hst. Still worth every cent!!!!! PLUS it's a heck of alot cheaper than what I'm going to pay on a barrel!!! Lol

I ordered one for my Mauser 98 custom. went through a freight forwarder. cost like under 25$ for Boyd's to ship to Blaine WA. and have the forwarder company bring it to their warehouse in Victoria B.C. where I cleared it through customs my self. Five mins of my life, saved 20-30$ bucks.

And as far as Boyd's goes. the final sale for them is in the "great US of A" so you can order as many as you like!. Boyd's do have a great product for the money. as long as you don't mind a little final fitting.
