Ok so took the wife shooting and she likes it
bonus for me
Now looking for a 22lr rifle for her but has to be pink
Eghad right whatever its worth it
Now a quick search found just the right one
mossberg 702 plinkster in pink reliable proven model and pink
now to find someone who carries them no luck so far
does anyone know a canadian distributor that carries a pink 22lr model
if not the 702 than anything can be in the running but she likes that one

Hogue makes a really nice pink overmold stock for the 10/22. That's what I did for my gf. Plus it's a single screw and on goes the stock of your choice for when you want to take it out. Win win.

Screw the Mossberg and get her a pink 10/22!!!

Several of the sponsors of this site carry them!

There will be some pink camo Savage 64F and Mark II F available at many retail stores by the end of July.

Hate to suggest a 10/22, but that pink/laminate one is the nicest I've seen...in that color. :)

My wife thinks all guns look/feel the same way~heavy. If I pass her a light gun, the reaction is always "wow....now I like THIS one." She hasn't shot the Rascal yet, but I showed it to her...and she likes it! :)

Im sure she would like the look of this rifle but by all accounts
after shooting my marlin 795 and xt she would not be pleased with the poor
accuracy of the out of the box 10/22 and i dont feel like spending what i dont have too .
The plinkster is like 150.00

funny i got my girlfirend shooting and i said id get her a .22 and i showed he some pink guns. she looked at me and said "what do i look like barbie? i want wood and steel.". thats why i love her

Get a pink 10/22 in the Hogue stock, that's what my wife got and she loves it.

The Hogue stock feels great, and 10/22's are just so easy to run, modify, etc, not to mention incredible resale, no downside.

Take the Mrs. Shopping...let her pick a .22 that "fits". Pink is a part-can of krylon away...

This makes sense to me! Unless the rifle not being pink is a deal breaker for her, take her shopping and let her pick what feels most comfortable for her to shoulder. I had lot's of advice starting out for rifles that just didn't feel right for me. I ended up picking up an old Cooey 39 which I liked because it was light, and fit well to learn on. Later on I bought myself a CZ 452 Lux and a Henry lever. It's often hard enough being the only girl/woman on the range, never mind throwing a pink gun into the mix.

Yup, Ruger 10/22 all the way! Here is my old bosses son learning to shoot with my wife's PINK Ruger.

Good times!

Cheers
Jay

Where did you get the idea that the Ruger 10/22 is less accurate than a Marlin "out-of-the-box???"

That just AIN'T so...

This from someone who has shot dozen's of rimfires from most companies over the past forty years, including all current Ruger's and Marlin's... and I have customized and fine-tuned both Ruger's and Marlin's for accuracy and performance... no offense to Marlin owner's (because I am one)... but the Ruger is a better overall buy in that pink laminated stock. (M.02)

All i meant was marlin out of the box accurate no mods required no money poured in
Ruger 10/22 as above over twice the price then with all the ad ons above to make it accurate liek what 800.00 ,only point i meant
The difference a few more guns for me lol

I know what you meant... but a stock Ruger is just as accurate as a stock Marlin... period. You do NOT have to add anything to a Ruger 10/22 to make it as accurate as a Marlin... it IS as accurate as a Marlin... if you don't want to spend money on mods then don't... but the up front cost of the Ruger pink laminate is a little higher... but where the Ruger shines over the Marlin (IMO) is the reliability of the proven action. Also, if sometime down the road you do decide to do some mods to the gun, a Ruger has a huge advantage in the "aftermarket parts" department over pretty much every other gun... anyway, that's just my opinion... I have no problem with Marlin guns.
