From what it look like, you have Alot for threading before touching flit, you can have what ever thread that ate smaller than .8 and run 1/2" toward the action, this aloe you to have about .125 before thread hit the flute, there is Alot to work with, clam on are no good, for clam on to work, the lenth of the area you need to clam on must not be taper, clam on will result in vibration, causing the muzzle brake to come off, or twisted.

Thats what I figured, geuss Ill just have to pony up and have someone thread my barrel.

It is will be going on a 300WM project I have on the back burner so it will be a while before I can review it but from the very VERY limited online info I have found they turn 308s into 22 mags... The inside chamber looks like it took some talent on the mill.

That thing is good for anything, even 338 lapua or Edge, definitely no problem for 300WM.

They are built to not port down so why would they kick up dust?

this is the one you talking about! Yes I know the port tilt back, not down, but shooting prone, it does kick the dust back to the shooter, at lease with the straight out port 90degree, there is no dust coming back to shooter.

Yes the Holland brake I have is vented out at 90 deg and there is no dust coming back at all.
GB, I am still waiting for u to put one of your brakes on my 308. Particularly the one on p.13.
