.32 short colt

I got some what looks like fairly modern ammo. Now I want to use it in my antique revolver. Is it safe? Did they ever make this in smokeless? Is it equivalent to bp? Anyone have experience?

It's a very small amount of smokeless that'd be used , if my memory as to some once-calculated figures is still accurate........

x2...i.e. how do the .32 short Colt compare to a .32 RF factory load?

I have some .32 short colt dies on order I hope they're here soon. (not to convert to CF, just looking for load data - dies are in case I need to size for the Hilti trick).

This was a .320 european gun i fired 3 shots with them, not a RF. And bullet wont work well since its a .312 not 317 but it goes boom. So its good enough
I did not make up a load. Bought the factory rounds at gun show. I am still working on finding a load for this gun since i have some brass. I would like to locate the dies for it. I will use trailboss powder. I estimate about 1-1.5 gn and 312-314 bullet.

ya trailboss is becoming my favourite by far. Pretty user friendly and seems very easy on my antiques and on my saa clone

It's also proving the most accurate load I've used in my Ruger SB .44 mag. Go figure. Just tried it out for fun, surprised me.
