Hey, I am the proud new owner of one of a Самозарядная винтовка Токарева, образец 1940 года, and I was wondering if anyone would have a line on the cleaning/accessory kit. Mine didn't come with any accessories, so I am on the hunt for them. I've found a correct sling (not a re-purposed Mosin one), but now I am on the hunt for the cleaning/accessory kit and magazine pouch.
I've managed to find a picture and list over at mosinnagant.net...
Contents: Original Pouch, combo tool (much thinner), the gas port punch, the sight tool, knurled jag, and brush. T handle and Oiler
Now I am going to answer my own question but bare with me. I does appear that most of the Mosin tools will work, (brush, t-handle, extention, jag, oiler) but the punch, sight tool and gas tool are not in a mosin kit, and the pouch won't hold everything.
I know that some of the CGN banner retailers have to gas tools, but what about the punch and the canvas pouch? Again, I am going to answer my own question here, but I could make/buy a punch and I could whip up a pouch to hold everything, but I would like to try and assemble era items, or simply get the correct set.
Oh and that set from buymilsurp.com is $175 and it's sold out.
Thanks
Oh, while I have you hear, does anyone have a .pdf manual for the SVT? I've got the one from over at milsurps.com, but I was wondering if anyone had a copy with better pictures.
Again Thanks
