Hello, after building a tiger wood/cocobolo stock for a 45-70 ( http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=757238 )
Ive kind of got the urge to build another for a sportered .303.

I would like to do another full wood, with maybe a more conventional style similar to a monte carlo but symetrical (lefty friendly).

Id also like to try box elder wood, Im thinking I'd like to buy a piece off the net and give it a couple months to adjust to our albertan humidity/lack of. You can try and talk me out of it but im pretty stuborn :D

Anyways, the intention of this thread is to get your ideas or more specifically the best looking wood stock styles youve seen on the net or have pictrues of.

I wont be engraving anything, but I may try checkering at the grip. So if you got an idea or picture you really like please feel free to post it, it may come into existince in a few months or so.

Ive never worked with it so I dont actually know, but from what ive seen it can be a really cool looking piece of lumber, and found in southern alberta!
 
I ran into an Injun up in the bush then other day, wanted me to see his 'custom' .303. I couldn't tell what it was originally, but it had a Remington M700 BDL stock that had been cut to fit.
It was actually a pretty cool job, whoever did it.
