call Hnatiuk's in Elmsdale. . . they don't sell it directly but an employee has a home-based biz I think - spoke with him before . . . seems ok to me. War Surplus in Memramcook NB has a bit 'o' stuff too - and he'll do his best to bring stuff in . . .
I'd be interested in hearing other options in NS too!
Best option I have found is to save up and place a large order for a couple of years supply of powder, primers and bullets with one of the main suppliers in Ontario. Join up with a few guys to get the powder over 25 pounds and the shipping is free normally
That is what I have been doing for years
There aren't many options here in NS. I've bought some small quantities from JD's Shooting Supplies in Prospect. Better Buy Sports in Dartmouth has components but the last time I was there (shortly after opening) they only had a few powders and little else.
There are a few one man 'kitchen' retailers if you can find them.
Or wait for one of the fe Maritimes gun shows and stock up.
Better Buy sports stock seems to be getting better, they had a whole display case of powder when I was in a couple of weeks ago. Peter Elliot is the firearm dept manager at Hnatiuks in Lantz and he reloads and sells the ammo, not sure if he sells components too. He is out sick at the moment I think, but his daughter Lindsay also works in the firearm dept at Hnatiuks and knows as much as he does.
Same place I do. Higginson's Powder. Like 3max1 said, get a few friends together and buy bulk. Transportation is free at 21 lb. Good to deal with.

I have purchased a couple of times at Ferguson's in Westville they do have stuff but were out of 4064 last time i was in. I will check out Better Buy Sports in Dartmouth.
The 21lb powder deal from Higginson's Powder sounds like an excellent idea, if anyone is getting an order together pm me and i will get in for 7lbs.

Thanks for correcting the weight at 21. I thought it was 25 but my memory is bad. They have primers, brass, bullets etc as you know so we try to do at least a yearly order and stock up. We also buy the larger weights of powder and split it to get the price down even lower. Just keep your old powder bottles since many times this stuff comes in just a bag and box.
If Better Buy doesn't have it they can order it for you. I ordered some Accurate 1680 for 7.62x39 there. Their price is 34.99 for 1lb for most powders, kind of expensive but beats ordering online.
there is a place in chester basin that carries hunting/fishing supplies.not sure of the name.i believe i saw reloading stuff in the pictures on his website.
