I also don't get why guys get their shorts in a knot when someone refers to a rifle as a sniper rifle. Maybe thats just me but lifes too short to lose any sleep over it.

Its called using correct terminology. There is no such thing as a sniper rifle unless a sniper is using it.

All right ! Political correctness tells us that only people in the public sector (military and police) can be bona fide "snipers".

I know of guy here in Québec who is running a business called Sniper Québec. (Google is your friend here). He is a retired policeman "sniper" from the redoubtable Sûreté du Québec.

And my questions are : when a "sniper" retires, how are we supposed to call him ? A low life "civilian" or an "ex-sniper" ? Can a mere low life "civilian" teach sniping ? If not, maybe the said "ex-sniper" is not a true low life "civilian" ? Maybe, he is still a full fledged "sniper", after all ?

What then would be the correct terminology in his case ?

Do you have $10000-$20000ish bucks? If so, the dealers will find you.

I'll test drive it, if it's good enough, maybe in a month or two, I'll get that much. Won't spend 20k on it though as AX50 is already 11k, so if I can get a Baret 50 cal for around that, why not?

I haven't seen Tom Berenger in a movie lately, maybe he's available... Not sure how accurate he is without the Hollywood special effects though. Good luck in your search!

The one on Savage site mrsp is $2908??? WTF??:HR:

Take off 2K and you can find a starter "sniper rifle".

Like I said, I've fired quite a few shots, and several WW2+ rifles, just the precision is what I'm looking for. Let's see what some of the dealer have to quote me for these. I saw some vids. Youtube doesn't lie :)
