I need some 10 rounders for the condom and not sure which ones to go for.

Wilson's 45 mags are the best I've owned in 45 and like their plastic follower (never catches or any FTF ever) BUT searching around the forum I've also seen people swear by Tripp Research...

Any reviews and or advise is greatly appreciated.

A Wilson mag loaded to 10 rounds will not insert and lock in a 9mm 1911 with the slide closed. For some reason (unless they've fixed the problem) there isn't enough clearance to do so.

Those that like to:

-insert mag
-load and make ready
-remove mag
-load another round in mag or insert a fully loaded mag to 10 rounds

Will not be able to do so with a Wilson Combat mag.

For some reason, they mucked up this design.

I do not own any Tripp Research, but the appear to have the same design as the ones that work for me (polished SS, abit longer than Wilson combat mags) with the proper clearance to lock into place with 10 rounds.

All the reviews I have read regarding Tripp Research hold them in high regard.

Between your two options, go Tripp.

Tripp reasearch is the best

+1

Thanks guy, this is for a classic division gun so starting with 11 is a big deal. I hadn't heard of the WC issue, its a deal breaker for sure.

I just recieved my 10 round Tripp mags the other day. Will let you know how they work after I try them out this weekend:D

I have Tripp magazines and I have been very happy with them. I tried finding some Wilson Combat to do a direct comparison but everyone everywhere never seems to have any in stock. I have two more Tripp mags inbound.

I have both and would suggest the Tripp over the Wilson Combat.

The WC ETM will close with the slide locked, but it will require a pretty good smack (harder than I feel comfortable with, ejector-wise).

Tripp is better made, better looking and cheaper. Both work 100% for me.
