Yep, my guess is Hadji did a less than stellar job fitting the barrel to the trunion, or the trunion to the frame.

YUP! After Gulf War 1 we were told DO NOT fire AKs with local ammo. I wondered why, and found the answer in a Vietnam War book. It seems the US SOF had salted high explosive cartridges in enemy ammo dumps.
