need 45 long colt pro!

I have just bought a Rossi 454 casull and want to start reloading 45 long colt. I have watched many videos and read data on the world wide web. Dont really mind single stage and dont care about reloading rifle at the moment but will eventually start loading for 454 casull then 30-30.
What do you use/recommend? bullets, primers, manuals, dies, presses?
Are all these bullets available for long colt (.452) designed for the same seating depth?
ANY INSIGHT AND PRO ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED!

I started out with some lee carbide dies and I use Stareline brass that I get from Budget Shooter Supply. I have 300gr and 340GC cast I bought from MT Chambers and also have some 250gr'era
I load for plinking.

When loading cast lead bullets for the .45 Colt, most will have a crimp groove. The groove pretty much determines the OAL of the cartridge unless you choose to seat the bullet deliberately short or long.

Since revolvers vary a fair bit in the length of the chamber, bullet mold makers have had a fair bit of leeway in design. When loading those same bullets for a lever action rifle, feeding can be a problem. The wide flat nose bore riding bullets that may be perfect for the revolver, might not feed well in a lever.

Your best bet is to check on a more specific focus website like Cast Boolits.

I avoid the 45colt altogether in my 454. I use 454 Starline brass,7 grains of Trailboss, and a small rifle primer behind the 255 gr SWC Bullet Barn bullets, and they shoot mild, and are quite accurate.
