Looking into getting my first 45, want an HK45 or maybe even a fnp but just want some thought about the gun. It is a little costly but that's an HK for ya, so any good or bad things about them let me know. Thanks

Never heard anything bad about the HK45. If you have hands big enough for the grip, buy it. High resale pistols as well.

every one tells me mags r hard to come by! I'll have to look into that a little more, 2 mags is just not going to cut it.

st1264 where did you get your hk?

Cedar Valley Hunting, a site sponsor. There were extra mags available, I didn't want any. 2 is enough for me. Just to be clear, I have the USP, not the HK45.

HK45 is hard to find.

I'll check them out. Ya I agree, they seem to have been all bought up but I'm in no hurry so I'll just have to wait a bit if cant find one.

I picked one up from the EE this winter--I love it! It's accurate to shoot and the recoil is quite mild for a .45. Not sure if it's due to the spring arrangement or the grip shape but it's great to shoot. I like how it has straight-up 10 round magazines too--perfect for us. I was a hard-core 1911 fan but I've sold mine and I'm sticking with the HK45.

Spoke to someone today about his HK45... he ordered 4 extra mags and was told he will need to wait 6 months... yikes.

Great gun but truly ####ty parts support in Canada, period.

Likely the best 45 on the market. What are your concerns?

I absolutely love mine (HK45c w/ trijicons). Unfortunately, I seem to have misplaced my two extra mags with the flat floorplates and cannot find them anywhere. $70 each online! blegh...

Here's the summary of a carefully-documented 50,000rd long-term test of the gun:

Sh!t it is the USP 45 tactical not the HK45. Sorry man, I read it wrong...

Might have to order this one and wait I guess. Looks like they are hard to find in Canada right now...

No worries...I'm still pretty tempted to grab the USPc from Wolverine. As for differences...I think the HK45 has the standard rail (instead of the HK one) and you can adjust the grip through different backstraps.
