New Muzzle Break!

I thought the US wasn't allowing flash hiders/muzzle brakes out of the country anymore?

I have a couple of them mounted and for the money they are great ...and the front sights are actually on straight
I bought mine from Brownells but they have stopped shipping them

I should get a commission from spcamno as I have been advising people to buy from him for awhile ..lol

Might be just a Brownells policy.

order a set of Cocobolo checkered grips, M1A Muzzle brake and a free M1a manual

As Promised!

Well took the ol M305 to the range today after a slight adjustment to my scope rings.
After installing the new break, I shot it yesterday (yes louder ;-)) but it shot about 14" low at 100 yards!
I have a 3-9*40 Barska scope mounted on my original M14 scope mount (used to own an H&R M14 but found out later I couldn't own it since it was a converted auto but that's another story,,, ;-)).

Anyways I shimmed under the rear scope ring base about 1/16th with a little washer and now we are all good!

Here are some pics, was using MFS ammo (nice n cheap) and I have included the before and after targets.
Before the new muzzle brake...

AFTER!!

Yes it does make a big difference!!

Don't know if you can see this very well or not but here is how much I raised the rear rings to get my zero again as the new break seemed to make my rifle shoot way low..

Yes, chalkriver I need to buy you a drink if we bump into each other whether at the range or clinic (LOL);)

Cheers

I did search quite abit before settling on this one. Big reason for this one is the magna-port like effect as well as retaining the front sight even though I use the scope.

Just nice to have the iron sight option in case a zombie got in too close and bloodied up my scope lenses... :ar15:

order a set of Cocobolo checkered grips, M1A Muzzle brake and a free M1a manual

Today came home and had my parcel waiting for me.

Received all of the items above, $5.75 shipping. no duty charges or taxes... Springfield Armoury Store rocks :dancingbanana: may order the scout mount next for my M305 shorty.

Haha if you're a risk taker like myself, buy it off one of the guys who will ship worldwide on ebay. You're not really breaking the rules buying it from them, they're breaking the rules by shipping it to you. Playing a gray area technicality like that doesn't give you the moral high ground, you're still doing wrong (like I did) but you're not doing anything illegal.

Speaking of which, does anyone want to buy a Sightmark triple duty 4-16x44 IR Mildot scope? lol
