After a couple hundred rounds, the rear screw on the scout mount seems to have gotten a bit loose. Which loctite should I be using to secure it?

Blue is the one to use. It is removable with simple hand tools, and will resist the vibration caused by even the heaviest magnum loads.....:D

snip from the Loctite site:

Feature Benefit: Protects threads
Prevents rusting of threads

Medium strength
Can be removed with hand tools

Locks threads:
Prevents loosening of metal fasteners caused by vibrations:sniper:

But the blue doesn't do anything for the heat, just vibration. The Loctite won't work very well if it is subjected to heat, and the SKSs get pretty darn hot.

use acetone if hard to remove... dont use purple (weakest)

Don't use green, either. The colour is deceptive because it is the strongest one.

I know someone who used green Loctite thinking it was weaker than blue. On a M203A1.

He had to put torches to the launcher afterwards.
