SR22 Rifle, MBUS + Vortex Sparc (cowitnessing)

Hi guys,

Just did the PAL exam last weekend (what an easy task it was) and the Quebec Hunting permit too [now the long 2 months wait]. My brother is about to get his PAL (next week probably) and I'll be finally able to go play with my new toys (SR-22 Rifle and regular 10/22)

Question is in the title.. I got for the SR-22 Rifle a:

  • Vortex Sparc
  • Dlask full top rail (order already done, waiting..)
  • MBUS Magpul GEN 2, rear and front (waiting..)

To cowitness the Sparc and the MBUS on the factory picatinny + the Dlask rail.. What is the exact Riser should I get for the vortex.. ?

Nothing.

The Sparc comes with 4 different height options right out if the box:

- low mount
- low mount + riser shim
- high mount
- high mount + riser shim

These all come packaged with the sparc. The high mount cowitnesses with standard AR irons/flip ups.

I borrowed my buddies' SPARC off his SR22 and tossed it on my M&P15-22 for testing. The high riser was perfect with the AR iron sights.

thats good news.. the kind of price i like.. nothing
thanks for the info.. its hard to plan a build when u dont have the rifle in your hand.. all the waiting time i have is spent on planing gear!

Received the Sparc 1hr ago.. man that thing is tinny :)
Also received my Dlask rails!
Flip cover fit perfectly on both side..

I was about to fix the high mount..

For the co-witness with the MBUS gen 2 (which i dont have yet since nobody got them in store beside airsoft ones).. With the high mount, do i need to use the riser shim and the high mount.. or just the high mount without shim ?
