Savage Axis .223 Availability

Prairie Gun Traders in Avonlea Sk. has them listed for 350. But I would reccomend the savage 11 trophy package he has for 530. Way better rifle plus its topped with a weaver scope. Also has accutrigger so you dont have to replace the sh!t axis trigger. Either way....Darren at Prairie Gun Traders is a great guy to deal with. Hes a sponser, you can find him at the top o the page

Ya, I talked to them - evidently it only comes in some kinda Zombie package; and they won't sell the rifle separately.

Huh? I've got a .223 black Axis XP that was purchased not long ago.... Oh and it is a good gun for the money... As for the trigger theres vids everywhere on cutting the trigger spring down a round to 1.5 rounds to get a 3.5lb pull... I did it and now it's awesome. Only problem I have with this platform is the remote recoil lug... People crap all over the Axis all the time, but it is a good gun, it is accurate enough to shoot your prey with, it's light, it's just not a bad gun.... For the price it's going to make a great bush gun... Just glad I got my .308, .223, and 25-06 before everyone wanted one.. If I bump into one online in the near future, i'll be sure to pass the link along to you.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated.......
I've been shopping for a .223 bolt gun for a while. Quite frankly, I've grown tired of expensive semi's, that are inconsistent in quality, accuracy and are mostly restricted to range use.
I'm seeing more of these inexpensive bolt-actions, between the Savage, Stevens and Marlin (and a host of others) that are delivering MOA accuracy out of the box for less than $400 in some cases - including optics.
Ya, okay...they are not a $1200 gun, but for the money; there's a good bit of value in them.
