Remington 572 problem .

I have recently been shooting the 572 but have noticed a problem that perhaps some gun nutz can help with :).

When the rifle is shot the action will release it's self and eject the shell without me pulling on the pump. How would one go about fixing that issue ?.

When the gun fires, parts move so that the action can cycle.

- If you have rearward pressure on the forearm, the action is supposed to open.
- If you are not holding the forearm, the action can open.
- If you have forward pressure on the forearm, the action should not open. If it does then there is a problem.

If I do not hold the action will fly back and eject the shell.

If I apply forward pressure I can feel the action opening with some force .

So what would I be looking at in terms of replacing ? part wise ?.

I don't think there is a problem.

Everything sounds like it is working normally. Just hold the forearm a bit more firmly or push forward on the forearm.
 
The action is locked prior to firing, when the gun fires parts move and the gun unlocks. Most pump shotguns operate the same way.

If the action was still locked forward after firing, the the shooter would have to push a button to get the action open.

So no push is needed to eject the shell on a broken in 572 ?.
 
When the action is cocked, and you want to open the action, you have to press the Action Bar Lock in order to open the action.

When the gun fires you do not have to press the Action Bar Lock in order to open the action.

Opps I ment push on the forearm not release:D.

Aka I have to by force hold the gun closed so the shell does not eject by its self after the round is fired. If thats normal then :dancingbanana::dancingbanana: .

Some guys over at RFC are saying that the action should remain closed after the gun is fired and only open when pressure in applied on the pump.
