Prohib to Restricted PO8 Luger.

In my case it was a mixmaster with a 5" 30 cal Luger barrel. They had to relieve the flange down to a thumbnail thickness to get the barrel off, thus rendering the barrel useless.

I only did it for the ease of 9mm ammo, and to make it shorter.

Thanks for all the info! I am considering sleeving the original barrel as it will retain all its stamping. I will also benifit the new rifling as I want to shoot this gun. It is unfortunate people who have little or no expierence with firearms make decisions that have harsh consequences for4 the rest of us. I also have a Inglis Hi Power in my collection!!

source is having a gun rebarrelled to restricted and then trying to use the barrel taken off that gun to replace a crappy barrel in a different one and the CFC being pissy about that and still having to turn in the crappy barrel (after my smith had crushed it in a press)

Yes they're very piss about it. I had to change a frame to a non restricted with a 10/22 that was 10.5 inch barrel they didn't like it 1 bit. That doesnt exist you cut it to that. I was ready to tell them to shove it up their rear. Very rude when I dealt with that person. I find most cfo no issuses just do there job but there are a few who just get angry at you for nothing and start being nasty. I like when I renewed you have to send a letter if you check 1 of the boxs off. I said its a renewal cant I just tell you job loss over the phone. They replied no you have to write it down with all the details. Got really piss about it too I was tempted to tell to shove it as I already own firearms and ammo what diffren't does it make just issuse me the renewal. I sent in a formal complaint about that lady and I also wrote to my MP to complain about it as well. Should be intresting now that I rocked the boat abit not like they can just go you can't have it because we don't like you.

What about adding .45 to the end of the muzzle? If it is welded by a pro with a tig torch? Would this satisfy the requirement? I do not want to lose the barrel.....

Rifling must continuous with no breaks. Your other option would be to sleeve the original barrel. If it was mine, I would get a new barrel. You won't lose money on a Luger.

check dlask arms $220 for a luger barrel ht tps://www.dlaskarms.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=luger&x=50&y=10
