A: How was it sent (FedEx, UPS, or Postal)?

B: *NOT DIRECTED SPECIFICALLY AT THE OP* What did some of you people do to your postal workers? P!ss in their cornflakes? The longest package I have had come through Canada Post (not including stoppages at the boarder for inspection, that's not their fault) is 11 days, including a long weekend in there. Never had a missing package, damaged goods (box corner a little scrunched once, but it came from California and the contents were fine).

This of course doesn't include outside Canada time, but that isn't CP's fault or problem. It amazes me how many problems some people have with them. I think the worst thing I can think of, is that my one carrier left notices with out knocking. So I had to pick it up a few blocks away after work.

Good to hear you got your package though.

MS sounds like youve had it pretty good. I think the OP is referring to the time it takes to send stuff inside Canada. Sometimes its really fast and sometimes it takes forever. Ive had rifles sent form the east coast to me in Alberta that arrived before a letter could make it from Alberta to Ontario in the same time frame. My latest MO sent to SFRC was sent Saturday the 2nd, it arrived over a week and a half later. The reason international orders (not US) slip right into Canada is because those countries dont nazi-f**k every firearms related shipment in customs to make sure they arent exporting sporting goods to allied countries (its a rich fat-man thing) And Canada doesnt have import restrictions on this stuff.

I work for Canada Post this is why your thing moved pretty quick. Gun stuff gets ticketed expresspost when it clears customs. That means that it is next day delivery or at most 2 day delivery.

Your right Canada Post probably has something to learn. They are losing money providing this higher level of service and should stop doing what they are doing and figure out a way to ship gun stuff through the regular mail.

I'm happy with CP, I sent a MO to wolverine on the 8th and my package arrived today(working late today so i missed out, but its at post office).

So with me sending a MO and them sending me a parcel and its all done within a week I'm super happy.

my last order from wanstalls was slow as hell canada post tracking said it was here after a few days of it saying that i phoned them to ask about it they looked into it and it was sitting in montreal. Im in the same province as wanstalls so to me thats a big screw up to ship something across the country and leave it sit there.

The thing you haven't mentioned though is how long it took the seller to actuallty get the stuff to Canada Post. Just because you bought it June 6th doesn't mean Canada Post actually took delivery of the items on that date. Plus, many sellers start the postal process before they actually get the items picked up or taken to the post office.

I've done a lot of international shipping over the years, and the huge factor is that many of the countries we deal with overseas, like the UK for instance (or Isreal), are relatively small (geographically) compared to Canada. Meaning you buy an item in Europe, and chances are its on an airplane crossing the Atlantic almost immediately. When it lands in Canada, chances are its nowhere near your home. Canada is frickin HUGE! Same thing in reverse when items move from Canada to small countries in Europe. Takes days to leave the country, then is almost delivered immediately when it lands.

I haven't had any problems with Canada Post service for the most part. Anytime I have ordered something from one of the CGN supporting dealers it has arrived here the same week.

CP can be hit and miss, depending on what day of the week it might be.

I've had great service from them, and they've lost some of my packages/mail.

You just never know with them.
