2012 Team Hoser 3-Gun Challenge

How many ranges are we using??
Is it a baby buggy day?

Stages are set up on ranges 1, 2, 3 and 5.
Baby strollers will likely be handy, but keep in mind that all restricted class firearms should be cased for transport between ranges.

Yes it's silly, but that's the instructions we have from the CPFO.

If we have to case the restricted firearms between ranges then a stroller setup is not really needed. Just a rifle case that can fit a pistol as well and a range bag for ammo and mags.
The ranges being used are for the most part right beside each other.
I can't wait. I will be dry fire practicing and reload practicing today.

I want to be on your squad, you can haul my gear for me!!!!

It's like Christmas eve.... I'm not going to sleep a wink.

I just keep mentally practising reloading with stripper clips and feeding the tube on the pump.

Any last minute tips for a 3-gun newb?

In order to complete the match shooters should have the following amounts of ammunition on hand.

Rifle 100 rounds, Pistol 100 rounds, Birdshot 75 rounds, Slugs 2 rounds.

-- is this round count minimum rnd count or suggested count taking in account few extra to cover ourselves ?

The latter... 'Always nice to have extra.

I can guarantee though that you will need only 2 slugs.

Thanks for the tips!

I'm a 3-gun newb, not a newb :) I shoot IPSC, PPC, Precision rifle, and I shot action shotgun matches many years ago... I know each firearm I'm using... I've just never used them all inside of 180 seconds. :)

Guns are oiled and ready, mags and tools and bits are bagged and ready to go.

Car is gassed up.

Most of the store has been torn down into bags and boxes ready to go.

See you guys bright and early tomorrow, we're going to be as early as feasible to make sure the morning guys have a crack at our wares before stepping off.

Good luck and safe shooting to all participants!

I re-read my own post... I'm not bragging, or pounding my chest... rest assured, I will still suck tomorrow :)

That was a long day, and we got to start when it wasn't so hot! Tough CoF, timed out a couple of stages. Glad I switched from the Red Dot to magnification, the eyes just don't seem to pick out the targets anymore at that distance. Another great match by TM, thanks.
