Need help to find a part

[Pre-1898]

Can anyone tell me where in Canada. I can find a checkered arched blued steel mainspring housing to fit my Remington 1911 R1 .

I would prefer one with a lanyard ring but ring is not a must.

I have already checked with Marstar but they only have the serrated.

Any help to locate that would be appreciated.

Checked and no luck there either No arched checkered on their web site.

Maybe contact the manufacturer and see if anyone stocks in Canada, otherwise see if Brownells will ship it to Canada...?

I don't believe S&A is on the "go" list for shipping to Canada. Could be wrong though...

No you're exactly right - I've tried and failed to order an S&A product from Brownells.

Machining-wise, the surface-generating required
to checker the "arched" one is an absolute pain in the ass.

And before I forget, just so you know,
the Smith&Alexander housing is cast.
