Canada Ammo is out of 5/20 M14 mags for the next couple months. I thought I would try Lever Arms.

First a phone call. Yes he has some, but no, he will not take phone orders. You have to register etc. and do the regular e-commerce site stuff I'm told. OK, so I fill in the req'd fields, register, get to the checkout and it wants my PAL, DOB etc.. But, there is a note saying that you can enter N/A if this is not applicable to your purchase. OK N/A goes into these boxes. Hit the continue button and it takes me back to the PAL stuff. Repeat performance and no better results.

Second phone call. No problem says another guy. Just put numbers in these spaces because we don't have access to the website. Again I try the e-commerce fandango putting in numbers. Well you can guess the rest.

Third phone call and the original guy answers. I tell him that the website is not cooperating and that if we can do the deal on the phone, then he has my business. His answer: I don't need your business.

I'm sorry for not trying another CGN sponsor. Just a note to business owners. Have someone not familiar with your store try your website purchasing some time just to see how user friendly it is, or is not.
 
I would hope that the conversation didn't go:

You: "Hey if we can do this order over the phone, you have my business"

Lever arms: "I don't need your business"

*click*

There's gotta be more to the story, or at least I'd hope there was.

I bought a rifle from lever and the transaction was good.

Not a fanboy - I'm just wondering if there was more to it to illicit such a strange response.
 
Interesting that they said they won't take phone orders. You have to call them anyways with your credit card information to complete the order in the first place.

ghostntheshell, the THIRD conversation did go like that. There was an unwillingness to talk on the phone throughout the three phone calls, as if there was a sports event on the backroom TV that I was interupting.

ReVoR gets the point. They want your credit card info over the phone. Why not take the order and process it like other store clerks do. What happens to guys without computers that phone in an order? Also when a customer is having problems with the website, why not check that out, or override it and handle the deal? With this situation it was take the website or leave it.

I just got off a return call with a very nice, polite lady at P&D. Unfortunately they are out of stock. No problem, last month I dropped almost $1200 there and will continue dealing with them and other CGN sponsors.
 
Agree completely, it was meant to be twisted. What's even funnier is that Task's post is not an April Fool's Photoshop product. It's what every tacticool stagecoach driver needs!

Personal I think a crow would be better off with a Derringer.

I not really into the tactifool stuff but if someone made a 16" double barreled 10 or 12 gauge with exposed functioning hammers, a spring operated bayonet, black with rails.......I would buy it.

For now I'll just settle for that Norinco stage coach thing I bought a couple of weeks back. :D

Now that has got to be one of the most ridiculous looking things I've seen in a long time. Why the hell would you buy that when you could buy this...

Remlin and Henry rifles have their problems too.

Remiln - crappy quality control - I got one that someone with Schwarzeneggers arms couldn't cycle ammo through - back it went. :mad:

Henry - they cost a fortune and weigh a ton - could hardly lift that brass monstrosity off the shop counter.

I'd buy a non-tactical Mossy 464 before I'd buy a Remlin or a Henry.

:eek: I thought this was a joke. It appears Mossberg has gone the route of show over go. There is no God!!! Pop has taken over everything!!!!!!!!!

Now from North Haven, CT and in cooperation with the people who brought us New Kids on the Block, Spice Girls, and other Pop wonders comes the Mossberg 464 SPX!!!!!!!

Ha Ha. Yep, it looks like Mossberg's designers went over to pimpmygun.com and came up with that. All that's missing is the forend grip. :D

Well "to each their own" I guess.

I've never had a problem with a Marlin or Henry...

...As for the weight, if that bothers you, I'm guessing you aren't a big M14 fan either.:p
