Thanks M.14.ca

just wanted to say my experience with m14.ca was great. he shiped my mrd mount the same day i ordered it and arrived fast. the mount is well made and fit like a glove. instructions were very clear and easy to follow. thanks again, your products are top notch and the mrd mount looks awesome on my m305:D

all the metal just bolted right in, no fitting required. I ordered new metal from treeline so im not sure if the norc metal is a bolt in without mods.

Thank-you. I am not 100% on this, and correct me if I am wrong, but I think it could be the lightest M14 red dot mount available worldwide. Certainly, there is no other with a protective hood as I have designed it so I am really happy with how this one turned out. Notice how the rifle balances on a work surface upside down with the MRD? It's tough getting the Jpoint, but CRAFM supplies so I assume you were lucky. I run the MRD on my only "finished" Blackfeather "RS." Once I get a 2nd oprod guide for the second M14 I have, I'll have a CASM on it and a 3.5x10X Leupold Mark IV. The test we still need to do is to see if these "uppers" can be swapped and hold zero between them. Wouldn't that be nice? We'll see how that goes. Any photos you can bring to the forum?

I assume you bought the stock unfinished. How did you finish the stock? It looks really nice.

Thanks, I dyed it with a waterbased dark walnut dye, then sanded up to 320 grit, sanding it took alot of the darkness out but left the grain darker then the rest of it. 5 coats of linseed oil later, finished product.

Where did you pick up the JPoint red-dot? My cursory search online didn't turn up any in the usual places.

I ordered the jpoint from crafm, there in the sponsors up at the top of the page, give them a call, they were good to deal with and was at my door in three days.
