So I received an XCR-M upper in the mail instead of an XCR-L upper..

Special order. Wolverine only stocks complete rifles, L conversion kits and some spare parts. They'll bring you in anything you want though.... you just have to wait for it.

Since it's a special order item, I doubt it was intended for anyone else. It's likely RobArms' slip-up.
