Picked up a new Les Baer Ultimate Tactical Carry. My first 1911. Sort of a retirement gift to myself. It's completely finished in Dupont S. Hammer, trigger, barrel hood, everything black but the barrel bushing. Black VZ, G10, double diamond grips with mag relief cutout. 11/2" grouping option, no front cocking serrations, clean slide and came with standard cocobolo grip panels. UTC also has a 20 lpi checkered backstrap and fixed Trijicon night sights. The flash makes it appear more shiny than it is:

"Shoulda got a Norinco raw raw"
Just kidding - that gun is awesome. I especially like the stainless barrel bushing look.

Wow - gorgeous. What finish is that? Congratulations and happy retirement!

Thanks for all the comments. The finish is Baers DuPont S on carbon steel. Not nearly as shiny in person. He switched to this from 'Bearcoat'. I'll see how it holds up. Everyone says their finish is the best. I think the prep is probably more important. It will be a range gun and probably not holstered.

Love it congrats! Nice set-up!
You made a good choice for a first 1911.
I also prefer carry guns/sights over range/adj. sights guns!

I have the SRP, no front cocking serrations but arched MSH in Baercoat! Didn't like their grips either, now wears black alumagrips!:)

OK

What a terrific "working" gun, looks absolutely perfect - possibly the ultimate in an "everything you need and nothing you don't" gun. We need a range review. Now I'm not so sure about a Springer Pro, this is at least the equal from a looks perspective, and it is a Les Baer, so the rest (accuracy and reliability) will be exceptional.

Thanks all, I'll get to the range after this heat wave out here dies down. Came with 3 LB 8 round mags. Also have 5 Wilson 8 round ETM's, 500 rounds of Federal AE 230 fmj with another 500 on the way. Range report to follow.

That is one clean-looking 1911! It looks so much classier than many of the guns with front slide serrations and "billboard" markings. I am also impressed by the absence of a full-length guide rod.

My hat goes off to you for your excellent taste.

Was this ordered through Ronin, or did you import it yourself?

Thanks for all the comments. I had a Wilson on order from BDW. It got to be an unrealistic wait time. Order cancelled. The Les Baer was in stock. I believe they are selling off remaining stock. I know they have Ed Brown Jeff Coopers, Ed Brown Executive elite and an Ed brown centennial. Possibly more. Also VZ grips. Website down. PM me for contact info.
