Shot my pre-owned CZ75 Shadow for first time last night. All I can say is my gawd, the accuarcy! My first handgun is a Steyr M9 - cool neat looking gun - I still like it, but it feels like crap compared to the Shadow. I am no pro but this gun makes me look good.

Here is a pic of the damage at 12 meters. The way off hits are crappy hollow points I reloaded, don't mind them. Most of the ones in the middle are 115 gr RN, with 4.3 grains of Bullseye. Im pretty consistent vertically as you can see but in better hands... No wonder this is the gun chosen by competition shooters. I love it!

Yup...I'm way more accurate with it than with my Beretta (although the Beretta looks better)!

For me, the weight, the grip and the sights combine to make it the straightest shooter of the bunch.

Gives you something to aspire to with your other guns.

I had the afternoon off and went to the range to shoot mine. Had the place to myself and had way too much fun. It such a nice gun to shoot it makes it easy to be accurate. I really like this gun.

Just got from the range with my wife and concurs the Shadow is a fantastic gun. Now she wants me to get rid of my first pistol, Steyr M9. I can't, I just can't do that yet.

One more comment on this thread.

Was at the range with my 92A1 and the Shadow.
Now...I'm not a great shot, so no laughing at my result:(....but just a quick comparison of my results with these two guns.

I've had the Shadow just a little longer, but have put about the same number of rounds down both as I try (without success) to get Shadow accuracy with the Beretta.

Beretta target is at 5 yds. and the Shadow just a little further out at just over 6. 20 rounds at both.

As I commented earlier in this thread; the weight, the sights (particularly) and the grip just seem to combine into a perfect combination.

I always shoot the Shadow last so I can come home from the range feeling good!

I have both the 92A1 and the Shadow as well. The CZ Shadow is definitely more shooter friendly as it has a better trigger out of the box but the accuracy of the Beretta I find is better than the CZ. You just have to do your part. Here's a target of mine at 10 yards standing/two handed with the Beretta 92A1. 20 rounds.

I found this comparison of the CZ 75 and the Beretta 92fs a while back and it has pretty interesting results.

I just took delivery of my new Shadow and as of today put 150 rounds through it. The accuracy is incredible but being used to a 1911 found the rubber grips to make the gun feel a bit too wide for me even though I have large hands. Have any of this group changed to the thin Aluminum grips, if so how much of a difference did it make and what was the cost?
Thanks

After owning a CZ75B, Beretta ( which was good too) and then a CZ 75B Omega my Shadow is by far my favorite. I am not a very good shot either, still green, but I look a whole lot better with my Shadow. I have thin wooden grips from marcshel's in Hungary. They are awesome.
