Hi there,
does anyone know the exact method for removing the pin from the JR Carbine buttstock so it collapses?
Thanks

I just drilled mine out, I know others have used a type of bit to drill in a bit and then pull the bit with the pin attached.

Either way that mwentrot describes works well. I don't recommend you do it the way JR company recommends. It's too complicated and too much of a chance to do some damage to your stock. My roll pin was only half way in when I bought it so setting a screw in it and pulling it out with vise grips was very simple.

I used an allen key that was a tight fit... then rotated back and forth in addition to pulling outward. Not the most elegant method, but it worked (took a few minutes).

I too broke a small drill bit in my attempt to drill out the pin that stops the movement of the stock from collasping, yet I was in far enough to knock it out with a appropriately sized punch, which worked but made the hole a little unprofessional looking so then all I did was drill out the hole slightly larger for a clean look, now it works and looks good

I used a drill bit that was small enough to slide through the center on the pin, this creating a pilot hole in the plastic stock. I then used a bit the size of the pin to drill from the other side. Then I pushed the pin out with a punch.
