So after a good 3 month wait I finally received my Stag Model 8 and my god its a beautiful rifle, in the time I was waiting I picked up the accessories that I installed at lunch today after getting away from work to pick this thing up. I love the window sticker gave me a good laugh, as much as I would love to have that on one of the windows around my front door I am thinking its just advertising I own guns so it will stay in the packaging.

Thanks for the info on the Mbus

I did some reading and i did find that the first generation sights fail pretty hard on gas blocks, the second gen are a bit better but still fail under heavy firing, since we cant empty 30 rounds mags up here im not too concerned but i will replace them anyway. I couldent find the Diamonhead Sights on your website, could i get a link please?

Plastic and heat are never a good mix. I say go ahead and replace the front atleast with a steel/aluminum sight.

Thanks Marcus.
TDC ill take your advice and replace them..thanks again for the info.

I just had it out for a sight in and it shoots awesome the muzzle break is something that surprised me it is pretty loud and the concussion ... felt like i was getting hit in the face with a pillow, took me a few shots to get used to it. I dident get any photos as the targets i was using were too small for an accurate sight it at 100 the stag is zoned in for 25 but really who cares about that grouping. I did try to sight her in at 100 but stopped before i wasted any more rounds ill be back out tommrow or Thursday and post pics of the groupings.

Were you shooting from an enclosure? Comps are not overly pleasant from any type of structure, in the open they're not bad, for the shooter anyway.;)

So was out at the range again and i have this thing sighted in for like 60 yards i tried for 100 but i need to practice more. I haven't been shooting at 100 for a few months and with the red dot its certainly going to take me some time to get back into this. Here are some pics from the shoot, the archery target was set at about 60m as you can see i pulled a few but then i got my breathing right and things came together pretty well. The picture below it is my best 3 round grouping at 100m.

Just an FYI the rubbing alcohol is useless, instead i used nail polish remover after the paint dried to clean up anything that wound up outside of the stampings..i cut the syringes back a bit and used them to put the paint in the valleys of the letters it worked really well just had to take my time. I had hardly any mess to clean one the paint was dry.
