buying/selling long guns now with no registry??

i haven't been on the forums in a long time, and i just found out that the registry is actually gone for real this time.

so what happens now when buying and selling long guns? make the deal and you're done? is it really going to be that simple? no phone calls to make, or people to notify? seems a little surreal if thats the case, but thats the way it should be, right?

you must still ensure that you are selling the non restricted firearm to an individual that is properly licensed to purchase the non restricted firearm, thats it

What about buying from a store? How does that work just pay for it and walk out the door?

apparently. but i think one of us is gonna have to call a shop to get the real deal. doesn't seem like any solid answers yet. just speculation.
