Hey fellas, figured I would vent/rant about the days events.

I recently purchased my first "cool" gun, a JR carbine in .45, I also splurged a bit on a bunch of parts to make it more personalized even though I probably should not have been spending anymore.
That is where my bad luck began, the thing was a jam-o-matic from the get go.Luckly, with help from the members here I was able to get her running perfect. Now I was excited for my order to come in, which it did last night.I decided to swing into the post office on my way to school because I simply could not wait.

Anyways, I get to my destination a bit early and rip into the box in the parking lot and start fondling all my ###y new odds and ends for 10 minutes, pack the box up and put it on the back seat and carry on with my day.Well...I get out and head for my vehicle anxious to get home and do some more fondling/building.....Why does my lock feel so strange? look down and it looks like a damn flathead screwdriver was pounded into it! Door unlocked and a whack of things gone, including my box of goodies and MY NEWBORNS CAR SEAT?!?!?! Seriously, I have lost all faith in humanity, who steals a damn car seat?!

Okay...I feel a bit better now, I just wish I could get my hands on the crackhead responsible because I know the police won't.

Sorry if none of this made sense, I don't really care.Just had to get that off my chest.

I've never had any of my trucks broken into, but I can still feel for ya man.

I honestly cannot understand the theft of the babyseat...that just tops it off.

Some lessons are learned the hard way though - next time, lock up the open box of goodies in the trunk. Sure they may still have broken in your car anyways, but hey, can't hurt to do so.

Hoping your car insurance will cover it.

You can say that again, definatly learnt the hard way this time.Quite a few things should have been removed and kept at home forsure...

maybe they used to seat to load all the goodies into lol. REaly sucks man, sorry to hear about this. There is no logic with thieves. I had my old truck broken into, took my mp3 player,cell,cds...then they opened the tool box up and stole my.........chains !!!! lol. my oily effin chains...so ya, no logic, just take. Hope things get better for ya

Who knows, it really doesn't add up in my head.I don't think ICBC is even going to help me out with this any further then replacing the lock sadly. What a joke.

well, a buddy of mine had his truck stolen from him. two years later, while surfing kijiji looking for parts to build a new one, he starting finding parts of his truck, got it all back and the kid was up #### creek...ya never know

That certainly restores some faith in finding even just a few of my things at some point.Giving up on phoning pawn shops for the day.

That's sucks man.
I've had stuff stolen twice from my vehicles and have a small daughter, so I know how important that car seat is.
I also have a JR! I do the same thing as you. I rush out and pick my stuff up from shoppers and open them in the parking lot.
What did you end up losing for the carbine?

Thanks for the comments guys, the home insurance is covering a couple of things that were taken but not my package contents or the bit of fishing gear.At least I will get some things back though.

As for what my loss is, I was hoping I would not even be asked because to most on here it is probably nothing and I don't really want to hear any "it's no big deal" or "just order more".It was a bunch of Magpul accessories which several months ago would have been nothing, however now it's quite a bummer that it will take a good while to replace.Oh well though, I'm glad I had the forum to vent my frustration, and I learnt a damn good lesson or two in the process.
