EESA Shotgun Match Feeler (JUNE 30TH) date secured

Livingston was a gong show....both Matt and my guns went down. Round count will be just over 100....bring 150 to be safe! All birdshot....#4 or smaller!

Did you decide on mag capacity and if will just be two classes pump and semiauto?

Last one I shot they made it 9 rounds max at the start of each stage then you could reload as much as your shotgun could hold.

So...due to popular demand....there is going to be 3 divisions.
Open
Pump
Semi

Open....is well....Open...Optics, speed loaders, comps...etc.

Semi...shell capacity, whatever is legal....., no comps, no optics, no speed loaders etc.

Pump...Mag capacity 8 at start signal...no optics, no comps, no speed loaders etc.

Keep in mind, ported chokes count as comps.
If you have a pump gun with a 2 mile long mag tube, and you want to run it fully loaded....you are in Open.

Yeah put me in open! :)

I broke one of my cardinal rules.....I changed something on the gun the night before a match. I installed a sidesaddle....apperantly, you can tighten the bolts enough to squeeze the receiver...this slows the bolt doen enough to stop it cycling properly....doh! First stage was bolt action semi...lol. I had the pleasure of shooting Onagoths gun first on the seventh stage....bolt action again...doh....

I see one common element with the issues you guys experienced.....

Mental note, never let 7.62mm touch my guns before a match....

:)

It also works in the reverse! I put a side saddle on an 870 the day before a multigun at FRPC. It was in the way of my forend when I pumped the shotgun so Tritium had some allen keys and graciously removed it for me. Without the side saddle the bolts were loose as they were longer and the action wouldn't work properly until I got home and was able to put the original bolts back in and tighten it.

Looking forward to my first match at EESA, what should I count on travel time from Guelph to EESA?

You won't be disappointed, EESA are a great bunch! Like Speedjunkiesracing, travel time from Cambridge is about an hour so depending on where in Guelph you are you can plan accordingly.
