After many years of looking at these......I finally got a Valtro PM5.This pump has a very smooth action.
I know there are many photos of these, but this one is mine.

Ive got the same one with 2 extra mags on the way :)

The pump is smooth because there are barely any parts inside! Lol

Only thing Im not crazy about is the reach to the pump.... A shorter or adjustable stock would be perfect but there are no accessories for these things.

I do not find it that bad,I got used to using the push pul method( trying to stretch the shotgun apart) I find it helps with the recoil.

I think that guy with the famous beard.....Magpul "The art of the dynamic shotgun" DVD does this.

Hah yeah I watched that DVD. Now try to combat load without a mag and see what happens ;) you gotta turn the gun close to upside down so the shell doesnt fall through the mag opening.

Im putting a sidesaddle on mine for giggles.

I've done enough shotgun matches to know...loading loose rounds while moving etc., a tube fed pump is the way to go.

The mags do look very cool though...

I've heard that the magazines are about a million dollars each.

And that's only if you can find any.

$85 - $90-ish, depending on where you can find them... Worth every penny in my mind, definitely beats the heck out of $250 for a single HK USC magazine... but Valtro doesnt think we SUCK AND HATE US, must be why they didnt charge us that much compared to that... :D

Not hard to find at all, I just ordered a pair and there were 2 or 3 dealers with stock

$113 after tax tho :(

But Ill be satisfied with 3. Gonna try a mag coupler on a pair of them...thats 14 rounds on the gun, and another 7 in a spare mag.

Welcome to the PM5 family Sam-sung!!! :rockOn::D:rockOn:

Cheers!,

It took me awhile to arrive at this shotgun....still have my M4, 870,590.....tried the grizzly mag...did not like that one much.I had the KSG....just sold it....felt like it was going to break at any time......probably not...but it did not feel right.

The mags are expensive ,but are built like tanks....probably could be used like the spetnaz use their ak mags.....close combat weapon.......for zombies of course;)

Mind PM'n me where you got them from? I've been looking and contacting almost everyone with no luck.

To OP:

1.) What length is your PM5? I am assuming that is the 14"?

Now if they made a pic rail for the top to mount up sparcs, T1s' etc.., and a "NICE" folding stock or AR CTR style.. to replace the ### hunter stock, and mags didn't cost you unborn children, I'd truly be all over it. I like the gun otherwise :)

1. Get it drilled and tapped for a pict. rail if optics are your thing...

2. My response to your bolded comment... f:P:f:P:f:P:
The buttstock is very similar to that of the pistol gripped offerings from SpeedFeed, it provides excellent sight acquisition with the drop of comb, and very popular with law enforcement agencies/militaries throughout the world, due to the ability of the operator to have greater control of the firearm due to the pistol style grip, so hardly the name "### hunter stock" is a fitting title to say the least... Having a folding stock on a 14" Valtro will make it restricted due to the OAL length restriction...

3. The magazines, while expensive, are of the best quality around for any firearm in the industry, bulletproof design and built like M1 Abrams battle tanks... worth every penny...

Well put, as I love mine.........just someone please PM me where to find retailers that carry the mags!!!
