So on Thursday I got a delivery from Stoeger Canada, my rifle I've been waiting on for 7 months finally showed up!
Today I got to take her out to the range and break her in, and shoot some groups! Lots of fun, can't believe I've waited so long so get a bolt gun
So special ordered from stoeger, a Tikka T3 Tactical in .308 with a 20" barrel. I wanted something a little shorter and stiffer since I'm probably not going to be using this for any longer range stuff, if I can work out to 500 or 600 yards with this I'd be really happy!
Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50 first focal plane in milirads, on an ADM mount (more for the solidness and stiffness of the mount than the QR ability)
Last group of the day I shot, I was doing a snoopy dance when I did this one, probably luck though
5-shot group at 100 yards using the Hornady A-max in a 168 grain, measured at 0.875" from centre to centre of the farthest apart 2 holes.
Very impressed with the rifle, the 20" barrel actually makes it quite handy, I may even use the QR feature and get some iron sights put on, but who knows.
ETA
I have the SAKO muzzle brake for it as well. The first shot I took with the muzzle brake on I think rattled my head! I always knew brakes were loud, but I didn't think it would be so bad! Took it off and had no problems for the rest of the day
