hi guys and gals i recently went down to the local gun shop and noticed a mossberg .22 with a ar style polymer stock. I was wondering is mossberg a good brand and if anyone owns this type of gun is it reliable? thanks for help.

Rifle is a Mossberg 702 Plinkster in a plastic body.......very well spoken for firearm for many years.

I love mine although I chopped mine up not wanting to wait for the flat tops.

they are a great little plinker for what they are. As stated above a tried and true 702 plinkster inside of plastic shell. some fuss to strip it down for cleaning but not too bad. Actually quite accurate out of the box. High cap mags look cool but are a pain too load and dont fit the greatest. I have one just for buddies to use when we go out. There are quite a few threads about them on here.

I say this over and over, if you don't like plastic, please don't buy this gun. If you want a cheap, very light gun that shoots as well as an sr-22 but half the cost. Get one, you won't regret it!

Can we get some sort of Tactical Sticky maybe?

To the OP, check out the whole rimfire section, this bad boy has been discussed and discussed and discussed. Any question you might have has been answered. I think the general concensous is if you like the looks, go buy it. Good luck!

I feel that way when someone posts, (Looking for my first .22, what should I buy?)

For mid $300's............................. cant go wrong. It is a very solid gun. Looks great out of box, add a sight and a grip, buy a couple extra mags, your ready to rock.....

My brother got one of these, They are great little units.

the way it shoots out of the box for that price its hard to loose

Like stated before, quite a bit of plastic but about a pound lighter than my SR22
