Has anyone tried the timberwolf frame for glocks , with the glock i can't reach the mag release with my thumb with out changing my firing grip a lot , i've got small hands:cheers:

I know what you mean with glock ergo's, but not reaching the mag release without a slight grip alteration is common for probably 90% of shooters I know.

Even watching IPSC or IDPA shooters, most will do a flip to change mags anyways, and return to grip becomes second nature in your workspace. I've actually inquired into this and its suprising after a while that most people actually just flip and return properly anyways without even knowing it.

In short, don't worry about not reaching the release, practice your shooting and reloads and you'll probably find during fast reloads your flipping and returning naturally anyways.

Check this out, watch how fast his reloads are, notice the "flip" where he changes his grip and the pistol points off at an angle to do his reload. Also note how fast he is still! The 2nd half goes into speed reloads, but if you look carefully at 30s you can see he practically lets go of the gun to shift grip.

This is why I love my SR9 with the ambi mag release, then I just take my finger off the trigger and hit the mag release. All my other guns I use my weak (left) hand to press the mag release

The position of the magazine release on glocks was intentionally done to prevent unintentionally dumping the magazine. does that make it ideal for competitors? No. But it isn't as much of a handicap as some would have you believe.

I wouldn't even consider it a handicap at all but actually the norm for most shooters anyways.
