Hi folks. Just waiting on a Sig Sauer P226 .22 conversion kit I bought from a CGN member. In the meantime I am looking for a follower for the mag - the type that holds the slide back after the last round is fired. Sigpower in the US is out of stock right now. Anybody know of another place to get them? A Canadian source would be cool.
Thanks,
Glen

pretty sure sig power is the only place that makes them. I believe he machines them himself and usually doesn't take long to make them. I forget the name of the guy who runs the place, but he is very prompt. He replied to all my emails in 15 minutes or less. I cannot believe he is going to wait too long before making another batch. Of course if you cannot wait, my follower for a P220 is for sale for $300 :)

Don't think there's anyone else making them, but could be wrong. I have them in all my Sig 22 mags and they work great. It takes a little getting use to not hitting the mag release (out of habit) and then manually locking the slide back on last shot, but they function perfectly. I also replaced my guide rod with there SS version. Not needed, but..... shipping was fast and if I remember correctly, very reasonable. Great person/people to deal with.

I got my followers from him as well ..... He was super fast on getting them out to me and they were " out of stock " when I ordered mine too .... very great guy to deal with

Yeah, mine were a ##### to get off as well. I had to use a rubber malet to bang them loose. Then they were easier to remove.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. (and I promise not to come back crying if I crack the mag...)

Worry more about ripping your finger LOL I tore a layer of skin off trying to get mine off but very worth it in the end

i have some if i can find them id sell, the floor plate is a pain to get off. Mine came with upgraded springs but when i installed them A: the springs were so stiff it litterally dented the case of the lower shell when you put the next one in and B: the slide doesnt hold all the way back so as soon as you drop the mag the slide comes forward, unless you manually pull the slide back and lock it. Kind of a pain in the arse for a simple reload.

To me it didn't seem worth buying followers that are just over half the price of the magazines. I just load up an empty casing or a dummy round in the bottom of each mag to make sure I don't dry fire my pistol with an empty chamber.
