Here is my new setup. 18" barrel, heatshield and Remington "law enforcement" top folding stock. This stock is all metal, but doesn't look very comfortable to shoot...... Anyway I don't shoot it very often. Folded, the gun is 28.2 inches. Just over the limit :)

Those are the only top folding stocks to run on 870s in my opinion... heck I sold all my 870s and kept the stock, definitely worth it thats for sure!

All you need now is the wooden Police style forend and your good to go!!! :D

Not very comfortable to shoot but really uncomfortable if you catch the tip of your finger as you are opening it or closing it. It is easy to pinch your finger in the mechanism.

Ouch!!

Forgive my ignorance, but are sights useable with the stock folded up? I could be wrong, but doesn't the Franchi Spas' folding stock have a hole that lets you see the front bead, is this similar?

Howdy you usually learn after the first pinch. LOL Had one on mine and usually took it with us when we were fishing in Grizzly country.
I forgot all about it until I saw it again last week and looked it up on the net and the last one sold on EBay for $233.00 last year-they are calling them a rare find- so I put mine on EE as it isn't used anymore. Later

yes, sights are completely usable with the stock folded.

heres mine, Wingmaster with an 18" 870P barrel.
i have an oldskool Police wood forend but i actually prefer the modern Speedfeed LE forend that ships on the newer 870Ps.

I really like the way the fold-overs look. I've had one for some time myself but, they are quite uncomfortable to fire at first. Then you get used to it and it's fine.
