Xcr issues

I recentley purchased a robarm xcr. I am having some very annoying issues with it, i am using the lar-15 10 round mags with the mag couplers. the rifle gets jammed up everytime i put a new mag in and use the bolt release it seems like it dosnt have enough power to strip the round off the mag. I spoke with a friend he told me to clean it and grease the rifle I tried that nothing changed so i tried to file down the front of the mag still nothing my next step is to try a pmag and some thin oil on the bolt mechanism im almost out of options anyone out there have any ideas on how i can ressolve this issue i`ve been searching the web to see if anyone else has had issues with there xcr and i cant find anything i feel like im the only one having this issue i had so much faith in this rifle but now not so much....:mad:
 
Yo dis gun has 2 many problems yo. Da xcr be frontin liek a real gun but it strait up wack cuz they be jammin and falling apart. Yall best sell it and get da AR real talk
 
XCR are built very tight and you should not expect perfect operation until you've fired 400+ round in it with gas setting at 3. (it will eject at 15+ feets)
The problem is simple: like in a new car engine, the parts are not broken in and friction is very high. Once the rifle is broken in you shoud get perfect operation.

My advice is to clean and lube the rifle, use 223 hot ammo (63gr EA FMJ is recommended) and blast away until you reach your magical 400 round fired.

There might be an issue with your LAR15 mags but I can't help you on this since they seem to be manufactured by different suppliers. You could try XCR 10 rounds pistol which should work perfectly in an XCR rifle!

As for the AR15 fanboys, the first AR15 were also very tight and would not operate reliably until they had fired 500 rounds. Some of the best pistol such as Sig Colt 1911 have the same issue.

I have seen very few issues with the XCR. I would stick the original mags until you have broken in your rifle. BTW it doesn't take 400 rounds, more like 200 and even then I had no issues with mine. Keep your gas up on the highest setting for the first 100 or so rounds.
 
From what you are describing, I don't think there is a problem with the xcr. I believe the issue is with the LAR mags.

When you load the tenth round into the mag, is it very difficult to load or is the pressure the same as the other rounds?

I had this issue with the last batch of LAR 15 magazines that I purchased. In order to fix the problem I had to file a millimeter or two off the bottom of the rear of the follower which in turn enabled the last round to be loaded easier.

Basically something was off spec and when I tried to load the tenth round, the follower was touching the bottom plate of the mag before the final round was completely in place. So when the final round was forced in place, there was so much pressure on it that the XCR could not push the round out of the magazine.

NOTE: I you do this mod, be very careful of how much material you remove from the follower. If you remove too much, the magazine may be able to load an 11th round and it would then be prohibited.

Yo Yo Yo. Red Locktite be drippin dats how XCR holds it together. Need to get sum red locktite fo my motorcycle. I heard da gun shop don't give it up easy.
 
My xcr runs flawlessly with p-mags. The "factory" 5 round mag that apparently came with the rifle according to the PO will not feed properly when loaded with 5 rounds...however it will if loaded with 4 rounds.

That said I only use p-mags - I have never had a problem with them in any platform. But you may want to consider knocking down a round in your mag before racking the bolt to see if it helps. (however.....buy pmags :) )

The LAR-15 mags I've purchased as of late have been dog-####, and I had the exact same problems as El Mariachi stated above.
Every other mag runs beautifully through my XCR.
 
Try loading only 8 or 9 rounds in the LAR-15's. You can also try upgrading the followers on the LAR-15's as well. I'd also perhaps trying a different magazine (PMAG?) to see if you have the same issues to pinpoint where the problem(s) lie. That's all I have for magazine-specific advice - good luck!
 
The LAR-15's that I bought from the local gun store, look, feel and load cheaper than the XCR branded ones. The LAR's are the RRA style in dark silver, they rattle and load sloppy.

So I bought an XCR branded 10rd pistol mag for only $3 more and it feels as high quality as the stock 10/5rd mag that came with the XCR-L. I've not had a single issue with any of the XCR branded mags.

Comparing the two visually, the RRA LAR-15 is all bent and uneven at the spot-weld sides, whereas the XCR branded has very well-mated sides that are even and near-flush. Everything on the XCR branded mag looks to be at tighter specs.

The stamp on the bottom of all of them says they are by ASC LLC, but the XCR branded mags are definitely better construction quality.
 
F**K I tried everything... yesterday i bought a pmag and i just finished cleaning and lubing the rifle it still wont properly chamber a round the bolt gets jammed up half way

i have fired 240 rounds exactly i bought a 250 round box of .223 western remanufactured ammo and i got 10 left i tried to use the rest at my range but thats when the issues started.....
 
Try to get one round chambered and see if the rifle will cycle through the rest of the magazine. If it does, try again and ensure to let the bolt move forward freely when pushing the bolt release.
