I will admit, I had my concerns with this gun, but I kept hearing glowing reviews here so I figured I would give it a shot.

Why the hell not when the price is $189 with 2 mags, and free shipping?

So I got mine from SFRC a couple days ago, and last night I was able to make it out to the range with her.

The only thing I can say, GO BUY ONE!!!!!

This thing is a F in champ! It ate everything I put through it, and was very accurate. Trigger is a little long and creepy so it takes a little getting used to, but I am very impressed. I have owned a few other .22 lr pistols, and this thing ran better than any of them hands down!

I used Federal Blue Box, Blazer, American Eagle, and even CCI Standard Velocity, and this gun had not one single failure in 200 rounds!

I paid a total of $210 for this thing with 2 mags, shipped to my door, and I feel like I robbed them.

The only negative is the grease this thing comes packed in, as it took some time to clean up, but field stripping is a breeze, and if you have ever bought a new CZ you get the same thing anyways.

So like I said, if you don't have a .22 plinker, GO AND BUY ONE!!!

And of course, some crappy cell phone shots for you guys.

I wish I could say the same... The first one I got was defective. It would not #### the hammer after the first shot. Replaced it, and the second one had the back grip piece lose, and I mean the gun would actually come apart while being shot...

For the few times I actually shot it, I do have to say I was impressed with the accuracy and given the price point, yes, a heck of a bargain...

But then again, with my luck, I ended up exchanging it for a buckmark. Double the price yes, but no more defects.

Congrats! I've been saying it forever. Mine outshoots all my other .22lr pistols. Pick up a Norinco jw25 (mauser .22lr trainer) too, wicked little tack driver, cheap like borscht, but not as delicious. mmm, perogies and borscht, vodka shooters, blonde ukrainian girls, frenzied dancing to the balalaika...
What were we talking about?

The small slip on finger grip from Hogue fits it. When cleaning it, keep brakeclean away from the grips and mag followers.

I recently had a small problem with mine.. The trigger became very stiff and sometimes you would have to pull it a couple of times to fire..

Got the gun home and opened it up to see the problem.. Turns out I hadn't cleaned it in about 2000 rounds and the carbon had built up.

Make sure you clean them before 2000 rounds ;)

I agree, I picked mine up from SFRC and it has eaten every single type of ammo I could get my hands. Even CCI Stingers, which by the way makes a for a nice muzzle flash on a dark range. The only thing I don't like is that the trigger pull is rather heavy.

Field strip is no problem, but looking into it further a detail strip is quite complex. Not impossible, but there is lots of small parts, and springs. The beuty is that these small parts and springs are mostly outside of the frame under little metal plates under the grips meaning they won't get too dirty. Some break clean into the trigger group, and hammer area should wash out any crud inside the frame.

In all honestly I have never had to detail strip a gun for any kind of cleaning. I have on many but mostly for ####s and giggles, and my own curiosity.

I am a little nervous about the grip screw and the fact that there doesn't seem to be anything holding the grips together but this screw that screws into nothing but the plastic of the grip. Overtime, I am nervous the threading in the grip will be destroyed, but only time will tell.

trust me, you don't want to-persue the forum, read the horror stories, and then be prepared for hours of frustration - i clean mine from the muzzle, run a couple of patches down the tube, lock the slide to the rear and a use a little bore cleaner on a q-tip on the bolt face- then a light oiling on the rails and that's it- where folks get into trouble is when they take the slide off the rails and can't get it back on again b/c something has jumped out of place-usually it's the recoil spring- there's a "trick" to it- and it usually isn't needed anyway- i've had mine for 7 years, it's seen thousands of rounds of all makes of 22, and i've always been able to clean it with q tips, bore cleaner and compressed air

I have one and like it. It tended to misfire, so I increased the hammer sprng temnsion a bit and now it works just dandy.

DO NOT REMOVE THE GRIPS111 They hold in some pins that fall out easily, releasing other bits . If you find all the bits on the floor you then have to figure out which bits go on which pins in which location.

Don't ask me how I know this....

Do not detail strip

This pistol is infamous on how difficult it is to reassemble.

As Ganderite stated, don't ask me how I know

Detailed stripping is not necessary, but you should do it at least once for the hell of it. Make sure you have patience and a few band-aids...very sharp edges.
One suggestion the rear sight adjustment set screw, blue locktite it in, if not it will come lose and go away.

I'm glad that You like yours.
Mine went into pieces while at the range sending all the small parts all over the floor...without any particular reason. I had about 200 problem free rounds before this incident. Having previous experience with the crappy Norinco products I wasn't really all that much surprised. Pistol was replaced by the dealer and I sold it right away. I wouldn't recommend this gun to anyone really.

Absolutely agree... what do you think about using red locktite instead?

WOW, mine ran like a champ! Only reason I don't have it any more is that the trigger on the GSG seduced me away. Still feel the 93 was a better built gun in general, great value for the price.

There must be some lemons out there.

why tempt fate- if it's a KNOWN problem, why investigate the MINEFIELD

When I got mine I stripped it down to clean it and remove the packing grease.
The recoil spring flew out on me and it took me an agonizing 10 minutes of fiddling with it to get it back in place. I won't strip it down that far again unless absolutely necessary.

Mine went full auto on me a couple times the last time I had it out at the range. That was about a year ago and I haven't taken it out since. Not sure why and haven't read of it happening to anyone else...
