M&P 15-22 Magazines

Hello all,

I'm sure there will be a previous thread about this issue but I don't have the time or desire to search back through 257 pages (7 years) of posts to find it.

Does anyone know where you can legally obtain the 25 or 30 (can't remember) round magazines for the Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22. I know the factory mags are all limited to 10 rounds but I was told you can get legal after market mags with the higher capacity.

Any information or links would be greatly appreciated.

Out of pure curiosity, why would the factory mags be limited to 10, but aftermarkets not limited? Is this some sort of RCMP classification thing?

We can get Promag 32 or 10 rd M&P 15/22 mags, PM for details.

That's a tower kit for the 50 round Black Dog drum. Which I am still waiting anxiously for!

Because S&W made a pistol version which automatically made all the factory mags with a capacity higher than 10 rounds into prohibs.

The aftermarket mags are marketed as being made for the rifle, ergo they have no round limitation. Welcome to Canadian gun laws!
