Who all is going?
Any interesting projects you're bringing?

I'm hoping to get my POS polytech "flash suppressor" removed so I can replace it later.

I attended Barneys M-14 clinic in Thunder Bay last Sunday and Monday . I knew something about the guns after building two . "Something" being a relative term . Something being about half of what i thought i knew . 35 bucks , 70 for two days is almost laughable for the amount of knowledge and ability you'll aquire . One rifle was re-barreled and the chamber cut . "Before" , the rifle shot like all M-14/M-305's . "After" , the owner could shoot the fuzz off a bumblebees azz at 200 yards . Everyone tightened their rifles the proper way . Barney , first time i ever met him and what an awesome guy . Great sense of humor and he knows how to teach . I no longer own an M-14 so i took my CZ-858 to the clinic just for the shooting tips as pretty much all of the second day was on the range . Observation , after attending Barneys M-14 clinic , get in a conversation with M-14 owners who haven't attended the clinic and they'll have almost no idea what you are talking about . Teach them because you'll know , so their #### doesn't fall off .

I'll be there scart ! Nothing fancy yet just my new shorty that has not been broken in yet.
Ive been looking forward to this and hope to learn as much as i can. Looking forward to meet other m14 owners as well.

It's at The Shooting Edge in Calgary. It's just a classroom clinic so shooting won't be a part, but I'm sure you can shell out a lot of cash to shoot at TSE.

Ah, OK. I was hoping to shoot that day to test out the new tunings but I can wait. Thanks for the info.

Good News!

Justin was nice enough to let us use the range for free for a quick test fire

Clinic was FANTASTIC and WELL worth the measly $35 (Especially if you win the raffle for a spring guide and sell it for more than the cost of admission!)

I also attended today, learned a ton, and had a great time.

I now have 2 norcs that have been freed from the shackles of their welded-on flash hiders (including one that was welded on well enough that it took three of us to get it free!). They're both pinging happily with gas systems that are toight like toigers, and triggers are far smoother than they were.

Hungry, thanks for facilitating such a great learning experience for us - very hands-on, and right now I'd feel 100% comfortable helping friends tweak their Norc M-14's.

Also, a big thank you to TSE for allowing us to test-fire at the tail end of the clinic - very much appreciated.

Well, I'm back in Turner Valley resting and packing the vehicle for the 880 km trip to Ingram Rifle Works in 100 Mile House area tomorrow. All great times had by all at the Calgary clinic. Glad as heck that all of you learned so much and had a riot anticipating someone to put that center punch through their thumb. No blood was let by anybody today.

Big thanks go out to Board Sponsor TSE (The Shooting Edge) and their staff to hosting (as usual) a great time to build up our CGNutz M14 community. Major props to TSE JR when he told us we just had to sign waivers in order to test fire our newly tweaked rifles. I was impressed with that level of service. We never agreed to any shooting for this clinic and the TSE gang came through big time for all of us.

It's always happy and fun to meet more M14 lovers at each and every clinic. Now all of you know yer dicks ain't gonna fall off ! No chance of that now!

Gotta clean up and get ready to hit the open road tomorrow.

Cheers and thanks , all of you! You make this community great! :D

M14 Clinic

Wow! that was an entertaining & informative clinic. So much great info at such a great price, it would still be a deal at 2 or 3 times the price.
Thanks Barney for teaching us so much with the condition that we pass on all we can to those who want to know. very cool.
JR, Justin & the rest of the crew at TSE were fantastic and made it all go along seamlessly.
If any one is hesitating about one of Hungrys clinics, or for that matter one of the Norinco shortys, just do it!Money not spent, but invested.
Cheers!

It was a great clinic. probably the best $35 I have spent on shooting. Hungry an awesome facilitator and not only filled our heads with tidbits of knowledge, but managed to do so while keeping the class thoroughly entertained! I'd take another class with Hungry anytime (hint, hint Hungry;)) if he were to do some of his other stuff out here...

And hats off to TSE. JR was a gracious host and really did go above and beyond by opening up the rifle bay to the clinic attendees. And just so his feelings aren't hurt, Justin was great too. :p

if you are sitting on the fence about either taking one of Hungry's clinics or getting an M14, don't hesitate; do both. Otherwise there is a pretty good chance that your #### will fall off! :D

Copied and pasted from the Service Rifle Forum I mistakenly posted in yesterday.

Thanks Hungry for putting on this clinic for us M14 lovers. I'm sure I can speak for everyone that we do appreciate the effort you go through to put on these clinics. It was a great day. Very informative for a newbie like me. I may just buy myself a Norinco now so I can apply what I have learned and to expand my knowledge with. I'll leave my Springfield NM for when the zombies come.

I'd also like thank TSE for hosting this event.

edit.

Hungry...I managed to get my flash hider set screw out with no problems once I got home. All it took was a properly sized 1/16 Snap-On allen key. Yes I'm a tool snob.

It was nice to meet all of you and hopefully will see you all again at future clinics or on the firing line.

Dammit, that's the SECOND clinic I had to miss due to work committments!!!!!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr........

I gotta try for next year!! (hint hint Hungry!!!)
