Homebuilt Auto-Reset Plinking Target PIC Heavy

Does a .22 bullet have enough energy to swing those targets all the way to the rest position?
The lever ratio on the support mechanism looks like it would require much more energy than is available from a .22 bullet to release the targets?
Otherwise, that's a good design and looks like it'll be fun to shoot.

That was my first thought also.

You might end up shortening the swing arms, just moving the pivot point by drilling a new hole. It would solve two problems at once. You would then need to move the pivot point of your reset arm up, and as noted above, it will change the lever ratio.

It does look great.... :)

Make a video of it in operation!

Here is a short clip showing operation with a 8oz ball peen hammer. Not to make any excuses, but that it has yet to be welded solid, it is sitting on uneven concrete and the spacers are not in place to keep the spacing.
Therefore it shakes a little.
