Went to the range today and had some fun with the Savage Axis .223. Shot about 60 rounds all morning. I just love the gun! Its a blast to shoot! The trigger pull never bothered me until today.. I will now be upgrading it since I noticed It is a little heavy for my like.

100yards I felt I was getting decent groups with the stock scope and the AE 55g ammo. Didn't want to shoot any of the Hornadys SP ammo as they always produce tighter groups then anything i have shot out of it. Save those for some yotes!

:) Not back for a lefty! haha;)

I put a Rifle basix trigger on my Axis 223. I love it. I hand load and am still working up a load. I think I have one now that shoots moa, but it requires more testing. All around The gun seems to function OK. I wish the bolt lift was a little less. Tired of wacking my thumb on the scope:(

I will be looking for a deal on that and hope to have it in by the end of the month :)

Yeah, terrible.... you should return it... looks like a defective rifle..... :p

Seriously, good shooting - looks like a keeper to me... ;)

Nice shooting. THat is about what I get with most factory ammo as well. Hornady seems to be the best out of factory ammo. I'm also a lefty. With my handloads its under an inch

may sound funny but i'm waiting on a left handed 223 axis for my mom, ordered it for mothers day, glad it shoots well (only 22 centerfire for coyotes in nfld)

mine shot like that... I replaced the bases and rings with a once piece from DNZ and its tightened my groups on all three of my axis's. .223, .25-06 and .308!
